Faux Sheepskin Seat Belt Cover Tutorial

Here's a way to cheat using the cheap stuff...
Materials:
“sheepskin” – 1/3 yard makes about 5 covers
Velcro – 10” per cover

Step 1 at your cutting table:
Cut 2 rectangles of the fabric approx. 7” wide by 10” long. Cut a strip from each side of the Velcro and pin to fabric on the long edge.

My Velcro was wide, so I cut it in half; you only need ½” or so.

Step 2 at your sewing machine:

Sew the Velcro strips on each fabric panel. I zigzagged down the center. Then, with wrong sides together and the Velcro strips on opposite sides, zigzag around all four edges of the panels close to the edge. Here is a picture with one side folded over so you can see placement of the Velcro.

Step 3 time for a road trip!
